Where Are We Going?
The general idea will be to do about 10 "educational" type stocks that might not be in the final portfolio, but are a good starting point to learn analysis.
We will then look at more complex industries, and consider other sources of ideas.
Here is a very general outline of where we are going:
utility stocks
restaurant stocks
consumer product stocks
cyclical stocks
dividend yield stocks
small cap stocks
big cap "popular" stocks
fallen growth stocks
international stocks (non -US)
spin-offs
technology stocks
health care stocks
retail stocks
energy stocks
financial stocks
industrial stocks
gold stocks (the focus begins on more specific industries)
gambling stocks
pipeline stocks
alternative energy stocks
