I am putting stocks into sectors by Seeking Alpha classification. They have an interesting mix that includes quite a few international stocks. For now, it is the best list I have.
Below are the # of stocks in each sector on SA, and the % weight is the small cap value index according to Morningstar:
Materials - 276 - 6% - done, not written
Consumer cyclical - 552 - 14% - partially done, found Brunswick
Financials - 665 - 25% - half-hearted attempt
Real Estate - 180 - 7% - still to be done
Communications - 251 - 2% - done, using Verizon
Energy - 244 - 6% - done, not written, using Phillips 66
Industrials - 631 - 18% - done, could not find anything
Technology - 661 - 9% - done, not written, no luck
