Getting Organized - Technology

Tech stocks are difficult to understand, but I want to own at least one. I keep looking, but nothing is that interesting. Perhaps ROG is the obvious answer, but I need to learn more. I want to own a “big ugly” name like GLW at 8x EV/EBITDA, but not at 12x. I am sorry, I am a cheap bastard. Too many of these companies have been “playing downwind” for the last two years. This too shall pass.

My favorite tech stocks in order:

1. Rogers - ROG -$107 - Dow offered over $200/share, what am I missing? weak recent results and a management change

2. Amkor - AMKR - $33 - I am trying to understand, biggest First Eagle holding

3. Logitech - LOGI - $90 - really a gamer stock, with a few “old tech” elements

4. Keysight - KEYS - $153 - the old HP instrument business, a blue chip, but too expensive

5. Zebra - ZBRA - $343 - great tech, but with significant industrial cyclicality

6. Teradyne - TER - $132 - dominant market share, but with China problems

7. Corning - GLW - $42 - great long-term story, not just a commodity story

8. Trimble - TRMB - $56 - I liked the agriculture business they just sold, too tied now to trucking

9. Kyndryl - KD - $23 - unique spin-off story I missed at $15, making me very angry

10. Vontier - VNT - $35 - gas station tech, spin-off

11. Arrow Electronics - ARW - $134 - the ultimate slow motion tech stock, too many value guys own this as a placeholder

12. Roblox - RBLX - $44 - my one Cathie Wood stock, go watch their investor presentation, concern over safety issues

13. Mongo DB - MDB - $235 - yes I am a Blazing Saddles fan, kind of an outlaw product, software is difficult

14. Applied Materials - AMAT - $193 - the ultimate tech cyclical, maybe at $100

15. Intel - INTC - $20 - I am 80% sure I should give up, they need to restructure their restructuring plan, are they now too government reliant?
